These terms cover your use of greaderapp.com and the gReader News app. They are written to be read: short, plain and fair.

Who we are

The site and app are provided by Laravel Company, 7 High Street, Basildon, Essex SS14 1AB, United Kingdom. Contact: info@laravelcompany.com.

The service

gReader is a free, open-source RSS reader. It lets you subscribe to feeds, read and listen to articles, and keep your data locally on your device. The app needs no account, and we do not store usernames or passwords.

The source code is published on GitHub and may be used under the terms of the licence included in the repository.

Independent project

gReader News is an independent open-source project inspired by the classic gReader Android reader. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the original gReader developer. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Using the app and site

You may use the app and website for personal or business reading. You agree not to misuse them: no unlawful activity, no attempts to disrupt the service or other users, and no scraping of this site in ways that damage it.

Feeds and articles you subscribe to are published by third parties. That content belongs to its publishers, is fetched by your device at your request, and is subject to the publisher's own terms.

Advertising

This website is funded in part by advertising served through Google AdSense. Ads appear on the website and in the app. Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain how advertising cookies work and the choices you have.

No warranty

The app and site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, Laravel Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or this website. Because the app stores data locally on your device, keeping backups (for example via OPML export) is your responsibility.

Changes

We may update these terms as the project evolves. Changes take effect when posted here with an updated date. If you keep using the site or app after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the protection of your local courts.
